When store and trade-counter associates add items to a sale, they need to know right away whether the item can be fulfilled, and if not, what the options are. This feature brings real-time inventory validation and fulfillment options directly into the Store Commerce transaction grid, so associates don't need to leave the transaction to check stock.
This feature includes:
Stock status on each line: As items are scanned or added, each transaction line shows a stock indicator (in stock, low stock, or out of stock) based on real-time inventory from Inventory Visibility.
Inline availability details: For each line, view current-store available-to-promise (ATP) quantity and date, plus availability at nearby stores and warehouses.
Fulfillment options for short lines: When the requested quantity isn't available locally, open a fulfillment options panel that lists alternative locations with available quantity, ATP date, and estimated arrival date at the current store based on transfer lead time. All options stay visible so the associate can choose.
Act from the grid: Go to the cross-location inventory view in one select, or create a transfer order from the selected location and set the line's delivery date from the estimated arrival date.
Inventory Visibility is required, so real-time checks on every scan stay fast. If Inventory Visibility isn't configured, the transaction grid keeps its current behavior.
