When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-June 2024 and expect to complete by early July 2024.

General Availability (GCC, GCCHigh, DoD): We will begin rolling out early-July 2024 and expect to complete by late July 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

With the introduction of the Categorized Mail folder option, users can now search across up to 10 categories spread across their folders, streamlining their access to categorized emails. Similarly, the introduction of the Mail from Specific People folder lets users locate emails from up to 10 designated individuals across their folders.

What you need to do to prepare:

Users that search folders from previous versions of Outlook for Windows and web will not be automatically migrated to the new system. To use these new options, users will need to create them manually in the system.
