Summary

Outlook Inbox Rules now support the External email tag from the ExternalInOutlook feature, allowing users to organize and prioritize external emails automatically. This rollout begins in June 2026 for all Outlook platforms with no required user action, enhancing rule management and productivity.

Details

What and Why:

We're enhancing Outlook Inbox Rules by allowing the External email tag to be used as a rule condition. This tag is applied by the ExternalInOutlook feature and helps identify messages that originate outside your organization. This update improves productivity by giving users more control over how external emails are organized and prioritized.

This message is associated with Roadmap ID 563806.
