What and why
Microsoft Teams is introducing a redesigned call history experience for Teams Phone users who have multi-line calling enabled. Call activity, including call history, voicemails, and recordings, will be organized by phone line in dedicated tabs within the Calls app.
This change simplifies navigation for users who manage multiple phone lines.
Rollout schedule
- Targeted Release: Beginning in early October 2026 and expected to complete by early October 2026
- General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): Beginning in early November 2026 and expected to complete by mid-November 2026

Who is affected
- Teams Phone users with multi-line calling enabled and multiple phone numbers assigned
- Users without multi-line calling enabled are not affected

What will happen
- A dedicated tab will be created in the Calls app for each assigned phone line.
- Call history will be displayed under the phone line associated with the activity.
- Voicemails will appear under the phone line where they were received.
- Call recordings will appear under the phone line associated with the call.
- Users will be able to view and manage activity separately for each phone line.
- The feature will be enabled automatically for eligible users with multi-line calling configured.
- No changes will occur for users who do not use multi-line calling.
