Introduction
Microsoft Purview compliance portal’s Data Security Investigations (DSI) now includes advanced AI analysis capabilities. These enhancements improve investigative context, vector search relevance, and content categorization to better identify risky material. A new AI-powered search function, Search with AI (preview), enables investigators to use natural language to locate specific files by searching through keywords, metadata, and embeddings.This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 518228.
When this will happen:
- Public Preview: Rolling out early December 2025; expected completion by early December 2025.
- General Availability (Worldwide): Rolling out early February 2026; expected completion by late March 2026.

What will happen:
- Investigators will be able to input investigative context to improve AI analysis results.
- Search relevance will be enhanced through improved vector search and categorization.
