To help you manage Copilot Search adoption within the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, we’re introducing a new usage report in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This report provides insights into how users in your organization are engaging with Copilot Search, enabling better visibility and informed decision-making.

When this will happen
General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin late August 2025 and is expected to complete by early September 2025.
How this affects your organization
A new “Copilot Search†report will appear under Reporting > Usage > Microsoft 365 Copilot > Copilot Search in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This report includes:
- Active users and average daily active users
- Total searches and average searches per user
- Daily trend view of active usage and total searches
- Copilot Search usage breakdown per user
This feature is on by default and requires no configuration.
What you can do to prepare
No administrative action is required prior to rollout. We recommend informing relevant administrators so they can begin using the report once available.
