Summary

Microsoft Purview will include a page in Data Security Posture Management for AI to show protection capabilities and usage for Microsoft 365 Copilot. This feature will roll out in mid-2025, with public preview in June and general availability in July. No admin action is required.

Within Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management for AI, a specific page is dedicated to showing protection capabilities and usage for Microsoft 365 Copilot. This page will be on the Data Security Posture Management for AI overview page, which will have a tab for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

When this will happen:

Public Preview: We will begin rolling out in mid-June 2025 and expect to complete by late June 2025.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in late July 2025 (previously mid-July) and expect to complete by early August 2025 (previously late July).

How this will affect your organization:

Admins will be able to use this page to view recommendations for securely deploying Copilot and view the sensitivity labels and sensitive information types found in Copilot interactions.

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically with no admin action required.
