Summary
The Teams Meeting Add-in in Outlook will not receive feature updates for Classic Teams after March 31, 2024, as part of the transition to New Teams. Organizations should transition to New Teams for the best experience and update their training and documentation accordingly. Note that the Teams Meeting Add-in can still be used for New Teams.

As part of the transition to New Teams, the Teams Meeting Add-in in Outlook will not be updated with features for Classic Teams moving forward.

How this will affect your organization:
Once the transition to New Teams is complete the Teams Meeting Add-in will no longer receive feature updates specific to Classic Teams. Security and privacy updates will continue to be applied as needed.
Note: Users can continue to utilize the Teams Meeting Add-in in Outlook for New Teams.
