Introduction
To improve reliability for large-scale live events, Microsoft Teams town halls will soon support a backup Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) stream. RTMP is a standard liveāstreaming protocol used by event organizers to send live video and audio to a streaming service, such as Microsoft Teams. This enhancement helps ensure uninterrupted broadcasts by automatically failing over to a secondary RTMP stream if the primary stream experiences an interruption. This change increases resiliency for high-visibility events without adding complexity for organizers.
